GOOD MORNING SANDCRABS! HERE ARE YOUR DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS…1/12/2021

SCA would like to welcome our students, faculty, and guests on campus today and remind you to “Be Aware, Be Kind, and Be the face of Good.”

 

**GENERAL**

In the upcoming weeks student computers will be issued.  In order to receive a computer, you will need your student ID and the ID must have your photo.  If you currently have an ID without a photo, Ms. Morgan will be available in the activities office to update your student ID.

 

Calling All Juniors interested in trying out for Mr. & Miss Seabreeze, please stop by Mrs. Oberst’s office to pick up your packet or ask any questions! Mr. & Miss Seabreeze is a long standing tradition that has been going on since the early 1940’s and is always a much anticipated show. It is a chance for any junior that wants to try out to be the Representatives and  the face of Seabreeze High School.

 

Attention students, a SHS AICE travel and tourism group will be hosting a VIRTUAL college information night Thursday at 6pm, with representatives from ERAU, DSC & BCU available to answer your questions.  If your are interested in attending, sign up in Mrs. Alexander room – building 3 room 205 or you can ask your teacher for the QR code. 

 

Today’s Sandcrab Café Lunch menu: Steak Queso Wraps  (yum)!!!, Cheeseburgers/hamburgers, 2-PB & J’s, Italian Sandwich, Turkey, Ham and Cheese Hoagie. Tomorrow’s breakfast:    Ham and cheese hot pockets, Cinnamon Texas Toast, Bagel w/ Cream cheese.  Eat in or Grab and go!  All are FREE, FREE, FREE! 

 

**SENIORS**

Seniors – a reminder the News/Journal Medallion of Excellence applications are due today!   If you have any questions please see Mr. Austin in the guidance office.

 

Seniors - the Cap/Gown package fee is now $85 (includes a $20 late charge) and available to purchase now through June 4 graduation day. If you need an order form, see Ms. Morgan in the activities office. Order online at www.herfforland.com.   Additionally, Grad Images is your official Commencement Day photography company. Register now and Save 20%.  Add your friends’ and families email address and they will save 20% on your photos too. Submit your information early and your proofs will be sent to you as soon as they are available after graduation on June 4th.  **SPORTS**

Girls softball tryouts will be held Tuesday January 19th  at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex Softball Quad starting at 4:30 pm.  Girls need to bring their glove, bat, helmet, and wear cleats. Tryouts will be closed, no spectators.

 

The girl's tennis team will have their first day of practice on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 after school at the school's tennis courts.  All players must have a completed physical and impact tested.

 

**CLUB/ORGANIZATIONS**

The first SURF CLUB meeting will be on Thursday. Anyone who is interested please come to Mr. Norvell’s room 3-204 during Lunch A. 

 

Sand Volleyball Club: Interested in sand volleyball? Our club’s mission is to improve sand volleyball skills and build relationships through good sportsmanship.  Starts February 1st, with practices on Thursday, two games and one tournament in Daytona.  The season will last through April.  If interested, contact coach Swayze in REMIND for more information:   Text @848e62 to 81010.
