 **GENERAL**

SGA would like to welcome our students, faculty, and guests on campus today and remind you to “Be Aware, Be Kind, and Be the face of Good.”

 

All PAID juniors and seniors taking ACT/NCR, must attend the pre grid session TODAY, Feb 12th in the small conference room 7-112 during 4th period.

 

All students that received a pink PERT notification, please don’t forget to choose a session and report to testing this week.  

 

Congratulations to the following artists whose work was selected to be exhibited in March at the highly prestigious Volusia Students Select, at the Harris House in New Smyrna Beach.  Paige Esposito, Niko Karamitos, Brianna Lambright, Hannah Rice, Kayla Sanden Kolhefer and Madison Sloan.  Congratulations Artists, what an honor to be selected!!

 

Did you go to London with the band?  Have you traveled to another country?  If so, then you know how much fun it is to travel, and especially with your friends!  Here’s the good news:  If you are taking AP or AICE courses, then you are eligible to travel with a group of fellow Sandcrabs to Italy in the summer of 2020.  If you’re interested in traveling with us, there will be an information session for you and your parents on Thursday evening, Feb. 21 at 6:30 in the Large Conference Room.  If you have any questions about the trip, please see  Mr. Weinrich in 3-214.

 

PERT tutoring with Mr. Huckaby will take place after school today from 3:00 – 4:30 PM. This is the last day before the PERT testing window begins.

 

**SENIORS**

Attention - All seniors taking PERT, please attend the Wednesday session, at 8:30 in media center.

 

**SPORTS**

Seabreeze High School is hosting the FHSAA Boys District Basketball Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday night. Tonight’s line up, GAME 1 - 4:30 PM NSB vs Pine Ridge, GAME 2 – 6 PM Atlantic vs Father Lopez and GAME 3 – 7:30 PM, Deltona vs Seabreeze.  FHSAA District Admission: $6.00.  Reminder, only State Series passes and press credentials are allowed for free entry.  Volusia County School employee badge and student athletic passes are not accepted during FHSAA State Series play.  Tonight’s winning teams will move on to Wednesday night’s District Semifinals.  Go Breeze!

 

Congratulation to the boys soccer team on their Semi Final win Saturday night vs Eastside.  The boys travel on Wednesday to River Ridge for the Regional Finals.  Wish the boys good luck!  

 

Congratulations to the girls soccer team for a great season & for making it to the Regional Semi-finals.  We are proud of you! 

 

 **CLUB/ORGANIZATIONS**

What better way to spend Valentine’s Day than with the love of your life – Ultimate Frisbee!! We’ll play on Thursday, Feb. 14 from 3:00 – 4:30 on the Ultimate Pitch.  Wear your favorite shade of pink or blue and bring a sports drink.  Please see Mr. Weinrich in 3-214 with any questions.

 

Key Club sponsored, Pennies for Cure Campaign continues through the end of this week.?  Dump your change in the Hero Squad boxes in your 2nd period class, and help those who are battling for their lives. The winning class will receive an Olive Garden Lunch and maybe even a breakfast!  Kindness matters, pay it forward! 

 

Attention LEO Club members:  join us for a Valentine's dance to remember at the Ormond Beach Senior Center tomorrow, from 2:30-4:30. Signup sheet in front office. Also, there will be a LEO Club meeting on Thursday during lunch in the Small Conference room.

 

NHS members are reminded that their February meeting is tomorrow, during lunch in the large conference room.

 

Today is the last day to purchase Valentine candy cane grams from the  Seabreeze Spanish Honor Society. Come stop by Señora Feliciano's room building 8 during lunch to buy some!  Single candy canes are $1 and heart-shaped candy canes are $2. Deliveries will be made to 5th period on the 14th.  For a small price, you can bring a smile to someone special!

 

We the People will be meeting tomorrow at lunch in the small conference room, building 7 room 112.

 

The Seabreeze Winterguard is proud to announce that they placed 2nd at their competition at Oviedo High School this past Saturday. They are looking forward to their next competition on March 2nd at University High School, Orange City.  They hope to see lots of Sandcrabs in the audience cheering them on.
