 Seabreeze
Sandcrabs are held to high ethical standards in our pursuit of
academic achievement. As a student of Seabreeze High School, I
understand that academic dishonesty defeats the purpose of
education. Cheating, plagiarism, stealing, and lying are neither
acceptable nor tolerated. Every task and accomplishment will be
a true reflection of my effort. |

Let’s Work Together to
Keep Our Students Safe
Our students are being injured by vehicles at
alarming rates. Since school opened this year, nine students have been struck
and injured by vehicles throughout the county. Please do your part to keep our
students safe. Watch out for pedestrians and bicycles. Expect children to be
walking or riding bikes to and from school or their assigned bus stop between
the hours of 6 am – 9 am and 1 pm – 5 pm. Obey the speed limits and stay alert.
Urge your friends and neighbors to use caution when driving before and after
school. We must change this trend and work together to keep our students safe.
For tips on vehicle and pedestrian safely, visit

Writing
Checks: One of our local banks has requested that we get the word out to
parents and staff that
red ink should not be used when writing
checks. They have noticed that many internal account deposits are
coming in with checks filled out in red
ink, which are difficult to scan with electronic imaging. The Federal
Reserve Clearing process recommends only black
or dark blue
ink. We MUST also have a Phone # on each check. No
starter checks will be taken. |

Puzzle 2012 @ Ormond Bridge
Have you…
- Ever tried to solve a
puzzle so big that spans a river?
- Ever wanted to create
and take home a piece of art?
- Ever wanted to learn a
bit of Ormond Beach’s history from INSIDE its historical buildings?
- Ever wanted to get some
exercise with several thousand of your neighbors?
The Ormond Bridge Puzzle is a unique annual event with the
ambitious goal of stimulating the minds, improving the health, and stoking the
creative embers of ALL who live in or near our community.
Seabreeze High School AP Chemistry teacher and local author
Robert Hernandez has created a Puzzle for Ormond’s residents to solve. The clues
are spread throughout the corners of the Granada Bridge. Finding them is just
the beginning. Puzzlers will have to assemble them correctly and decipher their
secrets. To do so, they will need to walk the Granada Bridge, meander in and out
of some of Ormond Beach’s historical sites, and create a piece of art. If
successful, Puzzlers will go home with the satisfaction of being clever enough
to have mastered the challenge. They will also have a better, more intimate
understanding of Ormond’s history; and they’ll be holding a piece of art they
created themselves.
The event begins promptly at 9:00AM, Saturday February 18,
2012 at the Casements’ Stage in Rockefeller Gardens, and runs until noon. It is
free to the public… Anyone with an imagination, a sense of adventure, and who is
fit enough to walk a bit over two miles is welcomed and invited to participate.
Are you up for the challenge? Be there promptly at 9AM.

School, Ormond MainStreet, Inc., Ormond Beach Leisure Services and the Ormond
