Congratulations to the varsity football team for their Victory against Spruce Creek Friday night. The offense was lead by John Christopher and Brian Young. The defense pitched a shut-out lead by the defensive line. Our next game is this Friday night at home (Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium) against New Smyrna Beach, 7 pm kick-off.
Congratulations to our “Students of the Week” for the week of August 30- September 3, 2010: Citizen of the Week-Jeremy Montez, Athlete -Ally Moss, Performing Arts Student -Gabriel Murrieta, Creative Writer -Jimmy Page, Agriculture Student -Victoria Green, Scholar -Lindsay Temple, Special Achiever -Jared Ginsberg, Freshman of the Week-Alejandro Graham and Reader of the Week-Zachary Yeomans.
**GENERAL**
Reminder students, today at lunch is the volunteer class held by Mrs. Tully. Come to the auditorium for the first 10 minutes of lunch to pick up your volunteer packet.
After-school Wednesday tutoring in the media center will begin September 15th. (FIRST SESSION 1:45 -2:45 pm)
Attention Juniors: If you are a student who has a genuine concern for and a desire to improve your community, there is a fantastic leadership opportunity for you provided by the Future’s Organization of Volusia County. This program offers interaction with community leaders, field trips, seminars and leadership activities. Seabreeze students have always taken part in this rewarding experience. Applications for the Future’s Tomorrow’s Leaders program are available in Mr. Wallace’s office or you can access the application on the Futures website at www.FuturesVolusia.org, AND must be turned in to Mr. Wallace no later than September 22nd.
**SPORTS**

Attention male students interested in participating on the Boys Basketball teams: conditioning begins today from 3 until 4 pm on the track. You must have your Physical and Consent packet turned in to participate.
There is a Boys Soccer meeting today during Crab break in room 5-205.
Attention JV and Varsity volleyball players: You must be outside the gym, dressed and ready for the bus, at 3.30 Sharp!
**CLUB/ORGANIZATIONS**
A reminder to freshmen candidates running for class office: ALL campaign materials MUST be approved by the activities office before you post them around campus. Any Posters displayed without the approval stamped on them, will be taken down.
FCA meeting today for leaders and those interested in becoming leaders during lunch in room 2-201 to discuss upcoming events.
Attention Seabreeze students: “Under the Sea Homecoming Week” is just around the corner! The fun-packed week kicks off with our HC Carnival next Thursday, Sept. 16 beginning at 4:00 pm in the cafeteria courtyard. There will be food, prizes, music, and even more games…and something new, a “photo booth”! The carnival will give way to the Pep Rally beginning at 7 pm in the gym. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned during the halftime show of the game, Friday, Sept. 17th. Come out and watch the Crabs take on the Bulldogs. Rounding off the week, the HC Dance at Destination Daytona's Coca Cola Pavilion. Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be sold everyday during lunch and break, from the ticket window at the back of building 6-105, in front of the media center . Tickets are $25. Your student ID is required to purchase a ticket. Don't miss out on the best week of the year!
