    • AEROSPACE TECH I (1 credit)

    No Prerequisite

    This course (the first of three in the aerospace program) is designed to familiarize students with a foundation of knowledge and technically-oriented experiences in the study of aerospace and its effect upon our lives and the choosing of an occupation. The content and activities include the study of entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership skills. The program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstrating the technological tools, machines, instruments, materials, processes and systems in business and industry.


    • AEROSPACE TECH II ( 1 credit)

    Prerequisite (AERO I)

    This second course in the Aerospace Program will focus on the student's exploration of the skills needed for non-flying careers in aviation.  These positions are an integral part of the aviation and aerospace industry.  The curriculum is designed to provide students with needed skills in the areas of Airport Management, Customer Service, Air Traffic Control, as well as the human factors including Safety and Meteorology.


    • AEROSPACE III ( 1 credit)

    Prerequisite (AERO II)

    This course of study provides classroom instruction, simulator training and flight training for private pilot evaluation and certification in a single engine airplane in accordance with FAA standards.  In addition to Pilot/Navigator,  instruction requirements for careers in Engineering such as: Aerospace, Mechanical and Meteorology will also be explored.

    This course is designed for the beginning shop students, and provides basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes related to the technology of changing materials into useful products. Shop tools and machines are used. A $5 lab fee covers consumable supplies.

    This course is designed to provide an advanced in-depth program of study and hands on activities related to the technology of designing, planning, and constructing a structure on site. FEE $15.00

    Construction Technology I
    (1 credit)

    Prerequisite: No Prerequisite

    This course includes introduction in activities such as the safe use of construction tools, machines, and equipment; basic carpentry; masonry; concrete; architectural plans; electrical wiring; plumbing; occupational information; consumer information; employability skills; leadership skills; and innovative materials and techniques. Students will participate in activities designed to provide a foundation of knowledge and basic skills related to designing, planning, and constructing a structure on a site. FEE $15.00


    Construction Technology III
    (1 credit)

    Prerequisite: Construction Tech II

    This course provides students with advanced individual study related to the technology of construction. Each student must have an individual study plan cooperatively organized with the teacher, or the teacher must have a written lesson outline for this course. FEE $15.00
