Cell Phone Use
Students’ cell phones must be out of sight and powered off
whenever classes are in session. Cell phones can be used before
and after school, at lunch and between classes, unless otherwise
directed by administration, faculty, or staff of Seabreeze High
School.
Parents and guardians who wish to contact their child at school
are encouraged to use the school’s main number (386) 258-4674 and
appropriate extensions. We ask that parents not call the student’s
cell phone for it may lead to unnecessary disruptions and
discipline consequences for the student.
The most frequently accessed extensions are listed below for your
convenience:
Attendance: 54630 Front Desk: 54600 Guidance: 54606
Students who wish to check out of school must call from the
attendance office and parents who wish to check their student out
of school must contact the attendance office so that we may
provide and record appropriate documentation.
Code of Conduct
The Seabreeze Student Code of Conduct is
printed on the inside of the student folder and student planner
given out at the beginning of each year. In addition, the Volusia
County Student Code of Conduct is placed inside the folder and
parents and students are asked to sign the Acknowledgement page
and return it to school as soon as possible. You may review these
Codes of Conduct below:

Seabreeze Security Procedures
The safety of our students
is very important to us. With that in mind, we
implement security procedures for our school by
practicing a variety of security drills throughout the
year. If you should come to the campus during one of
our drills, please follow the directions of the Security
Team, who will be identified by hand-held radios. You
can help us keep your student safe by supporting
Seabreeze High School as we implement these safety
measures.

is mentioned on the back inside cover of the Code of
Student Conduct and Discipline. The program is designed
to help students be safe at school by allowing them to
anonymously report knowledge of crimes. If your
son/daughter knows a student has a weapon on campus,
they should immediately let their teacher and/or
principal know. If for some reason they feel they could
not report it, they could call it in to Crime Stoppers.
We have reproduced the poster for you. Please discuss
this program with your student.

TRANSPORTATION
Student Transportation Services of Volusia
County has prepared helpful information brochures for you and your
student.
Volusia County
Transportation Services would like
to remind everyone about the
useful “Back to School” safety links available on our
Volusia County Student Transporation page .
On these sites you will find
links to the winning PSA videos, student training
videos, quick safety tips and the brochure “Are We There
Yet?”. A new brochure
“Safety Tips for Pedestrian/Bicycle/Bus
Riders,” is now available and will be distributed to
schools soon.
Our goal is to reduce the
number of pedestrian accidents this year and encourage
schools to continue student safety initiatives utilizing
morning announcements, safety messages, and assemblies.
Let’s Work Together to
Keep Our Students Safe -
Our students are being injured by vehicles at
alarming rates. Since school opened this year, nine students have been struck
and injured by vehicles throughout the county. Please do your part to keep our
students safe. Watch out for pedestrians and bicycles. Expect children to be
walking or riding bikes to and from school or their assigned bus stop between
the hours of 6 am – 9 am and 1 pm – 5 pm. Obey the speed limits and stay alert.
Urge your friends and neighbors to use caution when driving before and after
school. We must change this trend and work together to keep our students safe.
